Workshop: Productivity Booster with VBA (6-hr on-line OR 7-hr in-person)

Duration: 9 am to 5 pm (excluding one-hour lunch break; lunch & tea break are provided for the 7-hr in-person workshop only)

Target Audience: Busy executives and working professionals who want to accomplish more tasks and quicker in Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming.

Synopsis: Visual Basic for Application (VBA) is a programming language that is bundled with Microsoft Office. With some VBA coding, the user can dramatically increase work productivity and effectiveness e.g.  automate mundane reports, build custom applications with enhanced user interface. VBA is also applicable to other Office products e.g. Word, PowerPoint.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to program in Excel VBA. The workshop will equip the participants with key concepts and programming skills in VBA.

For the 7-hr in-person workshop, the last segment is a guided project which gives the participants an opportunity to integrate the dots – apply what they have learnt in a real-life scenario.

Prerequisites: This is a hands-on programming workshop. The participants need to have a basic knowledge of Excel. Participants must bring along their own laptops installed with Microsoft Office 2010 or newer versions. No prior programming experience is required to sign up for this workshop.

Trainer: Eric Hong (MBA, MSc, BEng, PGDE) has worked more than 10 years at US MNCs in business and engineering. He has extensive teaching experience in Software Development, Engineering and Physics. Eric is the founder of IntegrateDots, a consulting and training company that specializes in Data Analytics and Software Automation.
